The Taming Of April will be published!

As most of you know I was running a Kickstarter for my book The Taming Of April. However, my Kickstarter failed.

For the past few weeks, I’m been a little depressed and feeling down. I felt like a failure. As of today, I’m done feeling that way. It’s time to move forward.

My first comic con of 2023 is Fan Expo Cleveland in March of 2023 so as of right now, my new publishing date for The Taming Of April is March of 2023.

Finally, the Taming Of April will have over 60 chapters. If you want to read the first 3 chapters click – HERE.

Tercona comic #7 is coming soon!

After school, on a cool crisp fall day, Tercona is needed to save people from a house fire that just happens to be the home of Britney’s uncle. She must act fast to save everyone trapped inside because the structure is falling apart. Tercona finds Britney’s 10-year-old cousin Teodora and brings her to safety but when she returns to the burning building to save Teodora’s father, the unthinkable happens. The house explodes! Tercona learns that even superheroes can’t save everyone.

There are still a few minor changes to be made to this comic (making sure everything is spelled right for one. lol) Along with some color changes and a few more things too but…I wanted to let you guys know that Comic #7 – You Can’t Save Everyone will be ready by 2023!

2 FREE read webcomics!

When I go to comic cons and bookstores I always tell people I offer 2 comics as a FREE READ webcomic. Comic #1 and comic #5. Comic #1 is called – “Who is Thea Baymont?” This is the comic that started the “Thea Baymont.” storyline. You can read that entire comic (like a webcomic) by clicking the cover below.

After a local barber shop is robbed, Tercona and Britney return the money to the store only to be attacked by a sniper with a unique slime gun. Who is the new villain with a unique weapon? Who does he work for? Most importantly, will Britney ever dye her hair blue?

The next free webcomic is comic #5. This comic has nothing to do with the Thea Baymont storyline. However, it’s an LGBT+ comic so I felt the need to make sure anyone around the world count read it. If you know anyone in the LGBT community and you think they’re afraid to talk to anyone, this comic will show you how they feel. Yes, I know some people in the LGBT community are proud of who they are and they should be but for those people who are afraid to tell anyone, this is why! To read comic #5 – Coming Out To A Friend – for FREE click the cover below.

Tercona and Britney help stop an 80-year-old woman named Madge from being robbed. When the fight is over Madge mistakes Tercona & Britney for being a couple. This doesn’t sit well with Britney. As the girls walk home, Britney opens up about her sexuality, her home life, and how she doesn’t like being called a ‘sidekick’. She tells Paige that she needs more friends she can talk to because it’s hard for her to open up to just anyone. We soon find out why she shows so much anger, rage, and anonymously when she fights.

Remember: There are 6 comics in the series with #7 on the way next year. You can ONLY read #1 & #5 as FREE READ webcomics. The rest will only have the first few pages as a sample.

Some of you might be asking why I didn’t make these webcomics as a free download. It’s simple. I want you to read it on the website because it keeps you here on the site. After reading the webcomics you might want to order them or find out more about the characters.

I hope you enjoy my 2 free webcomics!

My Kickstarter for The Taming Of April has FAILED!

Ok…truth be told, with only 6 days left I canceled it. I canceled it because I only had $350 (which is only about a 1/4 of the way to my goal.) and I knew that I would never in a million years be able to get the rest of the funding ($650) in only 6 days!

For the record, the book was going to be published in June of this year but I listened to everyone’s advice and put the book on the Kickstarter instead to make the backers feel special that they go it first. But now that the Kickstarter has failed, I’m kicking myself for not having copies of the book to sell at comic cons this year.

My plan now is to publish this book in March of 2023 and make it available for the first time at my first comic con in 2023, Fan Expo Cleveland.

Thank you to everyone who funded the Kickstarter and helped me out. Even though it failed, I really appreciate what you did. Thanks!

My last comic con in 2022 was The Cincinnati Comic Expo this past weekend!

I went to this comic con in 2021 and it was fantastic. I couldn’t wait to go back and it did NOT disappoint!

The crowd was so busy on Saturday that I hardly got a chance to talk to anyone because they just kept walking by. It was kind of like the “herd” mentality.

Even though I did sell a lot of comics I didn’t make a profit because my hotel cost was high. I assume the more books I have on my table the more people will have to choose from and the better chances I’ll have at making MORE money by selling more books.

Nonetheless, this is one my my favorite comic cons of the year because I always do well. I can’t wait to go back next year to The Cincinnati Comic Expo.

2022 Monroe Pop Fest – Review

This past weekend I went to The Monroe Pop Fest in Monroe, MI. I hadn’t been to this con since 2019!

I’ve been going to The Monroe Pop Fest since 2016. Back then it was called The Monore Comic Con. In those years this con has always brought in lots of people. Lots of foot traffic.

On another note, since 2017 I’ve always wanted to go to the Cincinnati Comic Expo. The bad thing was, every year both of these cons were on the same weekend.

In 2020 I bought an Artist Alley table for The Moroe Pop Fest AND the Cincinnati Comic Expo because this was the first year they were not on the same weekend. Sadly, we all know how 2020 went.

In 2021, both cons were on the same weekend – again. So I decided to go to the Cincinnati Comic Expo this time. My AA table for the 2022 Monroe Pop Fest was my rollover from 2020.

Now that you know a little backstory, here’s what I think is the 2022 Monroe Pop Fest. It was…OK. First off, they added a “preview” day on Friday from 5-9. I didn’t want to go because this con is about a 1 hour and 45-minute drive from my house and this meant I would have to drive up there….twice! But I went. I thought the Friday hours were unnecessary. Every 3-day con that I went to had there Friday hours usually from 3-9 or 2-8. In any case, Friday is usually 6 hours. For Monroe, it was only 4.

I also believe the attendance was down a little too. There was still lots of foot traffic and people were happy to be there but It just seemed a little slower than in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Finally, I only sold 1 comic too.

I want to make this very clear. Gary puts on a great show. I still love The Monroe Pop Fest and I will return to this show again in the future it’s just that…I think I’ll skip next year and try again in 2024.

Again, it’s a great show. I like it but I felt the attendance was down from previous years. It’s also possible that the people that were there just weren’t buying. lol

** WARNING **

This post has NOTHING to do with Tercona!

The Kickstarter for my NEW romance novel called The Taming Of April is now in the pre-launch phase! (click the picture!)

Adam King must pick up the pieces from a hard breakup. He’s overweight, working as a farm hand and he knows his life doesn’t have a destination. As he slowly makes some changes to better his career goals and move forward with his dating life, he gets a haircut and encounters a hairdresser named April Bender.

Adam slowly finds out that April has a bit of a wild streak. She enters wet t-shirt contests, loves to skinny dip, and has sex with men on the first date.

Shocked and yet also thrilled by April’s erotic zest for life Adam realizes she doesn’t need a boyfriend; she needs a true friend. April is tormented by the demons of her past. Bad breakups, being raised by a single biker mom who loves to party, and having too many sexual partners before the age of 25. She has a very tough time letting go of her carefree promiscuous lifestyle. When her sexual outlook on life finally catches up with her, she realizes she must also make changes to better herself but is it too late? April fears she might lose the only man that has ever truly treated her with respect and dignity.

Entertaining, funny, and deeply moving, with just a pinch of sensual erotic fun The Taming of April is a romantic comedy story of how a man who was once a cowboy uses his skills to tame a wild woman.

The Taming Of April is a romance novel. If it was a movie it would be a rated R romantic comedy. Not Young Adult (not for kids) but it’s also not a spicy sexy romance novel either.

There will be a special variant cover that is ONLY available on Kickstarter. This special cover will have pictures inside the book.

The Kickstarter campaign launches on September 5th. I’m hoping to get 100 followers before then.

PLEASE follow my Kickstarter for The Taming Of April by clicking on the picture above!
